Well, i been administrating my site for quite some time, but i dont like using some of the free hosting services out there... which brings me to the following question
What exactly would i need in order to have a decent webserver???
Give me some examples, since what would be running probably would be linux :) also with PHP and MySQL support
Is there any other software i would need???
All help is most appreciated :D

Well, you posted this in the hardware section... so are you looking to build or buy a dedicated server? Or are you just wondering what type of configuration and software packages would need to be installed?

Well, to be totally honest :D im for the moment financially challenge lmao
I wondering for some hardware specs, because i might be able to build a system for cheaper than what it would cost me to buy one ;)
On the other hand, it might be better to buy one :D
But i would like to install the necesary software for it, not just because i love installing all of my software for knowledge purposes, i really love with the configuration of it, since i prefer to have my own setup than the defaults
Defaults are never safe ;)
Besides.... i plan on use it for personal purposes, not for public hosting
Nevermind, because depends on what the cost would be, i just might offer shell accounts from it to the public, but that would be way later down the road :D
Defaults are never safe? Im sure they are otherwise they wouldnt be the default setting/config :)
You might consider getting a Compaq Server off eBay. (I say Compaq as I am a Compaq/HP lover.) The bigger machines can be had for cheap in most instances...
