View Full Version : Credit Card Processing

I’ve just recently set up my own business and a website I’m doing for a client requires a credit card processing facility, ideally based in the UK. Originally, I did have 2CO (http://2co.com/) however my client decided to cancel with them as apparently their charges were a bit more than he would’ve liked.

The site has no more than 8 products so integrating a shopping cart is not needed. Basically what I intend doing is hyper linking some text but once clicked it will take them straight to the payment processing page.

I’ve also had a look at WorldPay (http://www.worldpay.co.uk/) and Protx (http://www.protx.com/). Any feedback on these companies or any alternative recommendations will be very much appreciated. Please note, PayPal (https://www.paypal.com/uk/) is not an option.

Respectfully,

My vote is for WorldPay, they are our present CC processor as well. It also supports different currencies ,and in short it is great.

Adil, I've had a look on their website but they dont seem to state prices, etc. What kind of prices do they charge?

well, you have to contact them in order to get a price quote.

About their pricing, well, in simple words, Worldpay requires initial deposit. If you tell them that you will process $10,000 a month - they will ask you for a $10k deposit. After this they would charge 6% (this is including all refund fees, chargebacks etc etc).

You can discuss with them to make out some deal that suits you and them as well. :)

Alternatively ********* might be a good option.

Protx is just a gateway but affiliated with some great banks that would be able to help you out as well.

That seems kind of steep to have to deposit the 10,000 just to process up to 10,000

That is way to high. They should give a better rate with that kind of deposit. I mean they make a lot of money from your monthly volume.

check out charge.com.
It's free to signup merchant account with them.

You could also setup your own CC system.....

Go to the bank, open a business account and apply to have your own Credit Card machine.
