View Full Version : RedHat EOL
Since Time Warner/AOL/RedHat has decided to EOL all versions under 9.0 at the end of the year, I was wondering how you are going to deal with this issue? Since I recently colocated my server last month I had the opprotunity to drop RH 7.3 and upgrade to RH Enterprise Server. I also was forced to do this due to Plesk causing some problems with my configuration (no expandibility).
Thanks for your input!
I'm switching over to Debian and Gentoo for new servers. For the older one's once they EOL hits i'm slowly going to upgrade them to the next stable version of redhat.

We are going to have no choice but to stick it out for a while as Ensim will only run on Redhat and Windows <cringe> so there is not much choice. There is always Cpanel, but the less Cpanel boxes I need to support the better if you know what I mean :).
From my current plans, I will be to moving over to using Gentoo and hopefully not have to switch any time soon after that ;) I am going to keep this RH ES box going for as long as I can until I get an extra machine in with it and have it running gentoo just to be sure ;)
I'm going to continue to run RH7.3 and 8.0 on my current boxes, but future ones will be RH9 or FreeBSD.
