Voted Free, as that's the only one I've ever used out of the three (bad reason to vote for it I know), but I'd always been told it was a solid choice, dependable, etc. I've been too busy to really, really, *really* muck around with linux flavors to be honest. Too much going on aside from that, so you can pretty much just null my vote, heh.
Same here. I voted FreeBSD because my friend got me hooked on it.
Btw, it's Unix.. not Linux Chicken.
openBSD is the most secure OS around, well thats what was listed in NetworkWorld.
Why? Dunno, maybe becuase not to many people use it.
it has only had 6 security holes in 6 or 7 years.

You're right, it's more of a UNIX flavor than a Linux flavor, though FreeBSD is the most Linux-like of the three. Or should one say it's just a BSD flavor? ;) :D
I guess just the explanation on the site is the best:
"FreeBSD is an advanced operating system for x86 compatible, DEC Alpha, IA-64, PC-98 and UltraSPARC architectures. It is derived from BSD, the version of UNIX® developed at the University of California, Berkeley."
Regardless, I've been too busy to much around with linux flavors or BSD flavors. All this talk of 'flavors' makes me want to go to Baskin Robbins. Mmmmm Lemon Linux with BSD jimmies!
Well, BSD is the closest you are going to get to real SystemV style unix without paying and FreeBSD is the most reliable, frequently updated version of BSD (Its based on BSD 4.4)
NetBSD can be a solid choice at times, and OpenBSD isn't all that big. For me, out of the box, FreeBSD is more secure, stable and faster, I just like the way the whole thing works compared to linux. I run FreeBSD on my primary hosting servers and Mac OS X on my workstations (Based on FreeBSD 4.8)

OOB OpenBSD is well nigh impossible to beat for security.
It does take a bit more work as few things are enabled of installed by default, which I regard as a good thing.
I have used all three and for daily use FreeBSD is probably the most flexible/comfortable although I like and use OpenBSD as well.
OpenBSD released security patches almost every week (that's a big plus), but FreeBSD is just a little more popular IMO.
