Hi,

could you suggest me a good whois script (better if you have used it and know by experience that is good). Thank you.

I haven't actually tried it out myself (downloaded but not yet installed), but Bill Weinman's BW Whois has been used by OpenSRS/Tucows' own site as an interim whois when they are rewritting theirs.

You might want to check out Chris Black's whois scripts:

Here (http://www.easydns.com/~markjr/whois2/) is one you might want to try, it's pretty good :)

If you've got a linux server and can login remotely - then you can do a whois directly from your shell. I use it all the time instead of waiting for the sometimes long lags from the big registrars.

Just type the following from your bash shell:

whois domain.com

and it will be displayed instantly for you :)

ZooMan, are you selling domains as well? I ask because many reseller programs include things such as whois scripts as part of the system, API, etc.

Here's a link to a Whois.php class that is functional, but not totally tested.

To try it out, browse to http://www.dizix.com/whois/test.php

And a link to the test script to illustrate it's function:

Try

http://www.webwho.co.uk

Its only one script and easy to configure.

I have a modified version of this script which diaplays the regsitration price and links to an ordering script.
