Support Forums...To SSL or not to SSL?

Community Support Forums? Do you think they should have SSL security available to them? What are the benefits? What are the drawbacks?

I don't see any advantage to use ssl on a support forum. Any sensitive information will be open to the public any way.

I wouldn't. It would probably be a lot slower because of the encryption.
