I think a good site design and a working phone number is a must on these type of services.

It surprises me that these kinds if companies are still out there, and still making any money. Maybe they really are just charging the customer's credit card and doing nothing. So much consolidation of website indexing has occured in recent years, just a few major databases control nearly all the content. The days of submitting your site to dozens or hundreds of disparate databases are long gone - unless you feel that you really, really need to be listed on joesbigweblist.com :lmao:

Ouchies. "Need some ice for that burn?" Haha sorry >_>. That really stinks. Thats why I always research a company before I go ahead and order their "services" or non-services in this case. Like server said, I can't believe there are still places like that on the web. Wouldn't you think after 1 or 2 frauds they would be shut down?
:o: With all due respect, The layout was a dead giveaway for fraud. The grafics look Cheeply made and there are so many typos. The promises look unrealistic to me. I always question a site's legitimacy when the presentation does not make sense.
I will definatley stay away from this particular site.
and after all, nobody can guarantee you top X (10, 100..) on a search engine, do it yourself and hope it happens

I almost used them for a gaming site about a year ago before reading a similar story on WHT.
But, don't do it too many times. You could get introuble for spam. Would be like the homeowner shooting someone trying to break into their house. Instead you'd get screwed!
SEARCH ENGINES~
In some cases just submitting to each and every search engine can help. Getting on others links help aswell. But, today as said above, its a dying breed. Now companies like ask.com formally askjeeves.com wants a huge price that some consumers just can't afford. Yet, I've never submitted to those idiots and I'm still all over their pages?
Basically, submit to every and any free search tool you can. Never download stuff or buy someone elses services. Meta-tags still help I don't care what people say.
To answer your question about what you can do about them. Go to icann's website. I believe its icann.com and look around. Also, and maybe before do a whois search of this company and see if you can find out anything else about them. Numbers, who hosts the site etc. Then drop them a line and explain what they are doing. Chances are they know by now and might be affiliated but its a shot.
Atleast you filed a complaint with the BBB and you do realize it must be from their state. If need be attorney general and do a search of their area. Find a source that looks after fraud. Just type in that state in even google along with the word fraud. You'd be surprised at the help you might find. Next is to forget about them and possibly the 70 something bucks and move on. Just be sure to tell others every now and again and blast them on every board you can. Did you get all that!!!! :)
Lastly always type in their e-mail address whenever a site asks if you want to be listed with them. Actually, just browse the internet and add their name to every annoying site you can find. It might not do much but atleast its a small shot in their arse!

DOES ANY BODY HAVE ANY IDEAS WHAT I CAN DO ABOUT THIS?
HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS COMPANY?First, don't post messages all in upper case, it looks like you're shouting and is hard to read.
Second, if you paid by credit card, you're in luck, it's easy to get your money back. Simply call your credit card company/bank and explain that you bought something online and the goods weren't provided. The bank/card company will initiate a chargeback, which when completed will give you your money back. It may take up to a few months though.

A few years ago we got a reasonable amount of business from being on page three of the Google results.
We now get no business from being on page two.
People's search habits have changed.
For example, positions 5 to 10 on Yahoo on even good keywords seem to produce few hits.
You need to be in the top five results on Yahoo and Google to get anywhere so that means paying for PPC listings unless you have a very unusual search term.

I don't even see the point into makes sites, fact is, its a waste of your cash. I think if everyone is able to make a site, your able to spend about 2 hours on submitting your site not loseing $19 plus dollars on trying to have other people do work thats easy, free, and not a fuss.
Thanks for your review though, I'd never or plan to pay someone else to do work that's this free because fact of the matter is. There not going to email you all the links of where they submitted their site, they'll submit your site to like 5 places and then keep colecting payment from you. *Next time if you do this, request them to give you the exact link of all 1000+ they submitted your site*

These SEO places can be very pricey.
There is always a good feeling when you do some good old advertising with positive feed back.

I think that there are no so many sponsored links and people "gaming" the search engiens that many people automatically ignore (or at least pass quickly over) the first 5-10 hits on a search results page.
