Why would SSH stop working?

Hey people,

Client went into server and installed Perl, PHP and Mysql rpms.

Problem: SSH will not start now. Any ideas?

OS version: Red Hat 9

yes, it states that it is running..

What exactly is the error? You say it can't start, but now says its running...

Do you see any errors in /var/log/messages related to the sshd daemon?
