View Full Version : Gd....
I have made a "image creating" script using php.
It requires GD, and I have tryed all my 4 hosting accoutns on different servers, and none of them has it :/
I though GD was installed on all linux servers
This is kinda sad, since all I need is a few MB's and a small GD installed...
Do I really have to get a 5th account?

Ask your host to build PHP '--with-gd'
he won't do anything he doesn't have to (might be changing host because of that). I asked him anyway, and he said he didn't even know what gd was :S.

And that's where refunds come in...
this is one of those $1 hosts. What you pay you don't get back. After the money is sent to him, you won't get any support etc...
This company does not even have a website anymore :/
I guess I'll just have to sit here and wait the 6 months

GD is pretty standard to be installed with PHP.. but.. with hosting, you get what you pay for :)
your so right. Next host i will get, Is gonna be a QUALITY host
I know this is a little off-topic but why do people feel like they have to have the absolute cheapest hosting ever? Would you settle for $1/month internet access knowing it would be the worst service you ever experienced? I doubt it. Most people don't even blink at spending $50/month on broadband access but when it comes to hosting their website they gauk (sp?) at spending $5-10/month.
Note: this isn't to anyone specific... the thread just sparked a thought in my head :)
When I signed up, I really had 2 choices FREE or almost FREE
