Howdy HHO'ers! I just wanted to let you know that simple banner advertising is available (finally). I say simple, because at this time it's available in one place, for one price, one method of payment (PayPal) and there's no bells or whistles (such as tracking stats which would be nice). Simple rotated banners. So how much does it cost? Good question. One month for $100. Simple, eh?
This isn't a fundraiser like last time. Plan is just to get some of you who have been asking for years off my back until we get some different advertising choices, varied pricing, and tracking stats going fully. Maybe I'll be able to retire and buy an island. We could all live there. We could build robots out of coconuts and have Battle Bot-like wars with them. We could run free. Naked. Well, that would be weird, especially if the Coast Guard came onto the island thinking we needed to be rescued (try explaining that). Maybe mostly naked except for a leopard skin to cover the private areas (you supply). Eventually we'd probably turn against one another, Lord of the Flies style. It would be brutal. That, or the wild monkeys would kill us first.

Ok, so we'd need many, many, many advertisers for that to happen (buy an island, not the brutal death by wild monkey part).
Ohhh, and also (as you can probably tell) my skills as a web designer are about as good as my ability to ward off wild monkeys (keep that in mind if we ever do buy that island and you hope that I'll save you). We haven't had much luck in picking designers, but I figure it's worth one more shot. If you are interested in designing the forum (which includes the forum and advertising system, plus a few other things), please let me know. I'd like to see a portfoilio so that I don't waste your time (we've already gone down the "it's not what I'd like" route a few times). If you can recommend someone, that would be appreciated as well.
