Which is the best to use? WHM Intergration would be great. I am currently trying phpcoin, but is it the best?

Last time I checked, phpcoin didn't have any control panel integration. And at $1 per client, once you hit about 150-200 clients, it gets more expensive than some other options and this was from what used to be free software. If you want whm integration, you might check out whmautopilot.

We have tried Modernbill but beleive it is too bloated and thus has been confusing to some clients. We now use ClientExec and although there are some features lacking, the application is clutter free, robust, intuitive and customers do prefer the GUI over MB and WHMautopilot; we actually took a survey with screenshots/demo of those three packages.

Don't have any comments on phpcoin as we have never used it. Hope this helps..

I'd Say ModernBill wins hands now, yes there is a hefty price tag but its certainly is worth it, The client interfernce could be better, But neverthless works a dream :cool:

A comment on ModernBill. The interface is beautiful and it links with most hosting control panels, but there are some core billing functions that are lacking and apparently being ignored by the software creator, ModerGigabyte. For instance, when invoicing a client for an overdue amount, the system doesn't carry over the amount previously due. You have to send out 2 invoices. Also no implementation whatsoever of late fees.

I am currently a ModernBill user but due to the above issues, I am looking for a better system. I appreciate the recommendations.

I used ModernBill for about a year before I sold one of my hosting companies and I like it but it is a bit bloated and needs some additions, that being said its very robust and supports tons of options so I would still use it over ClientExec or Auto Pilot. Both are good for smaller companies but for large billing its hard to beat.

At 7-20 dollars a month (via mblicenses.com) it's really not all that expensive of a solution.

Start off with a 50 user license and then upgrade later on as needed: It's dirt cheap actually. :)

Modernbill would probably be the best, though ClientExec is pretty good also. I'm not a fan of PhpCoin. I don't like its interface at all and its features are limited. I recommend modernbill, lpanel, or AutoHost.

I have used WHMAP, ClientExec, and ModernBill. ClientExec is perfect for me, and now that the enw version has auto account creation ,it fits even better.
Modernbill is nice, but has too many functions, and you can easily get lost in what your doing. Too much "Stuff" if you ask me.
WHMAP was nice also, the only thing I didnt like about them is that their support was very slow.

I can't stress this enough when choosing your billing solution, you need to pick one that works best for your bussiness. Right now, there are a lot of good choices out there compared to a few years ago. The ones that were here back than are greatly improved and much more stable too! I haved used ModernBill, WHMAP, OptiGold ISP, and ClientExec -- I can say they all have their +/-'s. Depending on the amount of products/services provide, your future products/services, and any custom options you might need you will have to take a look at the demos to see what will work for your company.

For my lastest project, I choose ClientExec because it is darn simple! I had it up in running in less than 1 hour. Not to say I haven't picked at it daily but it was taking orders the next day after I set it up without a problem. It is very easy to use, no fuss type of a program. I also like the design overall of the program, it was appealing to me. Okay and the price was nice too! :c)

We use Whm Autopilot , it is brilliant but only has basic features. phpcoin i dont really rate very well i dont like the system and it is not intergrated into the system of whm!

I think your all forgetting, or don't know about WHM COMPLETE SOLUTION. We currently use it, and it is perfect! Its only $11.49/Month. It really is a full solution; billing, support, knowledge base, ticket system. It saves alot of money and hassle in the long run.

Totally right. We will be using and selling Lpanel licenses when we start. We found this to suit us best. But what suits us, might not suit you. Perhaps you can give a list of key features you need, and then provide another list of features you want, but don't need and we can suggest something for you.

take a free trial and if you like it buy the license - if you dont want to spend out then lease monthly, you can start with a 25 user license and move up to unlimited monthly license or owned when you need to :-)

Client exex is great for reseller hosting, but if you get pretty big, modernbill is gonna grow with you. Client Exec can get messy.

In my opinion, both of the newer versions of these scripts offer a great way (i.e. an API) for businesses to implement custom support or integration for their own unique systems; such as a credit card payment gateway or even their domain registrar back-end. :cool:

I personally like Modernbill as I feel it is the most extensive and affordable product on the market at the moment.

Clientexec is also pretty good. I'd recommend it to any small - medium size reseller.

PHP Coin is a good script to use. Our selfs do not actualy use it to take in billing but we do provide it as a free instalation and our clients find it very good to use.

I have tried all of the big name billing systems including ModernBill, ClientExec, WHMAutoPilot, and some others. Recently I decided to try WHMCompleteSolutions with a new host I am working on. So far I have been very happy with it. Like ClientExec, it is very user friendly and easy to use, and still has the features that I needed and none of the extra garbage that I would not use. WHMAutoPilot was nice too, but their support took a long time and I didnt like that so I left them. ModernBill just had too much "Stuff" to deal with and wasnt very user friendly.
Overall I would have to say that WHMCompleteSOlutions and WHMAutoPilot are the 2 to look at if you want auto account creation, and ClientExec is running a tight 3rd place!

take my advice and stay well clear of Lpanel. I have an annual licience, they charged my credit card one month early even thought they had ignored all support requests for a month. Last week I received a blank email from them. When I emailed them back to ask what is was about they ignored me. Today on AIM I'm told they now charge $19.99 / month for support and there is no way they are going to fix support requests from the last three months, they even cleared their data base of all support requests so they can deny the tickets were even opened, REAL NICE PEOPLE to deal with !

Trust there are enough good billing systems out there that you will not want to get involved with these guys !
