like 20% of my accounts on my servers shows invalid quota..... does any one know how to fix this ?
I tried the following..... but now help... !!! :(
1 /scripts/fixquotas didn't fix the problem
2 chown root.root /backupdir -R
3 / find -user username and checked if there any unwonted files around but no help :(
if any one know what's going on plz help/////

You have install a mod to do the quotas .. I forgot what its called.. Will have to talk to my friends about it tho.
Do you have uncompressed backups enabled? If you do, then the owner and group of the backed up files is the same as the owner and group of the main account files. When cPanel does its quota calculation, it is based on this owner and group and this can give numbers which are basically double the correct amount. Use the compressed backup option if you can and that will fix this problem. (if this is the cause for you)
I noticed that you mentioned you changed the owner, etc to root:root but that may not work right away as backups will get changed every night (if nightly) and the perms will be reset.

No i dont have uncompressed backups enabled. but i will check it anyway and let you know.... thanks.
Which version of cPanel you are using ?
