I would do what you did and publically warn everyone of the imposter.

Via AOL IM and other boards, he's left IPs, and who knows what other information. Track him then beat him.

here are a few ways you can get him;
1) he wanted everyone to pay via paypal right now all you need to do is contact paypal saying hes been imporsanating your company and you wish to take this mater futher for which you need his address, From this paypal may say yes and give or no and ask for layer to get details

2) ask yahoo was it to track the messages from which ip they were made from, then trace to ones that have visited to your site, if there is a match u can see his ip and then locate his host by ip ownership and put up a local serach by police for fraud

Its sad to see people wnat to scam. Good luck getting him

The only infrindgment i had was someone advertising my servises to get access to free hosting from a forum posting site.
