Hello,
I have been thinking about selling dial up serviecs and today all of sudden i came across cari.net. They seem to offer dial up for relatively low price. My question is..has anyone used their service which is dial-up they also seem to offer dedicated servers and web hosting any lots of other stuff. I have a feeling that these things are too good to be true. but then again i need someone who has experience with them and specially with their control panel which is ibizconsole.com. Any input is appreciated. Thank you

I don't have any experience with Cari.net (though they are located in CA, San Diego I believe). Here are a few others to mill over (taken from some notes I have)...
http://yourownisp.com
http://dialupusa.net/prbill.html
http://isppath.com
http://www.becomeanisp.net
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22ISP+resellers%22
http://www.burst.net/resell/access.shtml (same as dialupusa?)
http://www.lanset.net/Visp/default.htm
http://Access4Less.net (resells for a large company)
http://resellers.inreach.com
Now some of these might be connected, resell for another, etc., and I do not have experience with any one of them.

Good prices and good services. Only drawback I am aware of is the $50/month fee, which when starting out increases your cost significantly, but once you reach volume, has little overall impact.

I started out with cari.net...needless to say what incognito states is a big setback. The $50 reseller fee sucks...if you decide to do any hosting or dialup those fees are added on top of that $50 charge. That said I figured it would be a waste of time to continue business with them and moved to rackshack.net
It's cheaper, has more options and I'm happier.

Selling Dial up and Hosting under their IbizConsole is profitable.
Their Customer Account Interface IbizConsole is confusing at best. They have different plans for dial up. A California, Regional, and National. The cheapest dial up account I believe is 5.00 dollars.
Their hosting plan to resell is also not that good. The site you host are on Cobalt machines. If you want to offer ASP it cost more and if you want to offer MySQL is another montly fee.
They do offer a good hosting reseller program under the "IbizPanel" brand. But, it has a higher montly fee but you can resell upto 5,000 sites for the same montly cost.
If you are looking to sell dial up. I suggest other solutions. If ou are looking for hosting only they do have a good reseller module.
I would point to some companies that are reselling under the "ibizpanel" but my last post got deleted for advertisement so I dont want them to delete this one too.

I never knew about how cari.net did things. I mean, I see their advertisements all over in magazines and what such.
Goodluck with whoever you choose!
