View Full Version : Sub-Division.com Layout
Hi all,
I am new here and this is only my second post although i have been stalking you all for a few days (in the good sense not the creepy wierdo way :D)
Anyway I am setting up my own web hosting company - resselling just now but intending to get a dedicated server once it is financially viable - and would like some feedback back on both the site layout and the packages I am offering - are they priced right or a bit too low for the features?
The website address is http://www.sub-division.com/preview
Thanks,
Stewart Bradford

Hey Stewart! Welcome and glad you decided to come out from the shadows :D
When I first clicked on the link and the window opened, my initial reaction was... RED!!! Not that there's anything wrong with red mind you. The package amounts are probably priced OK (though I admit to being too lazy to check out the currency conversion). I'm guessing some may think that the amount of transfer is a bit on the low side. but it's all relative. For most people, 2GB of transfer is plenty, they just don't know it.
Thanks for the friendly welcome :)
I went for red because theres a lot of web hosts out there with blues, greens and grey sites so i thought i should go with something a little different :)
I thought myself that although 2Gb is a low amount its actually pretty reasonable considering my target market - low end users who are more intrested in good service for the moeny than really high-end package options.
Thanks,
- Stew

That seems reasonable. If they ever go over that amount, and you feel it is an huge issue that could jepardize the client staying, you could always give them a "good customer" additional 2GB and thank them for using your services. It might affect those looking to sign up, but you'll have to see how it goes.

Chicken I believe the currencey is higher here meaning that if something is $20 here is is 15 pounds there so yes I would say you probly a tad over priced may think about knocking that down a pound or two stew, estimating about $40 for that first package. Anyways I am thinking the same way as chicken like holy nuts red, but when you look at it for a few seconds it is a very nice layout.

Thanks for the feedback,
I think your right Steve - i should knock the prices down a bit, maybe £5 off for the middle package and £10 on the top package and £5 for the bottom package aswell.
Thanks again,
- Stew
