Well I burnt the mini install to a CD-RW. Booted it on my dvd drive on my main pc. And Well it runs the installation but then when I go to the main install screen it says cant mount drive. And Same with anyother Distros I Have- More then one cd and it says it cant find cd. Well I found SuSE and I like it. I got it burnt And it only goes so far to that screen, And it says it cant even find the disc. What is a CD-RW I know its not DVD but it offers ftp, http, smb(?) Im not new to linux but I just dont know much of it. :rtfm: Please help :D
Do you currently have a hard disk partition without an operating system? I'm not sure, but I don't think most distro installers automatically set one up for you.

I have a CD re-writer and a DVD re-writer and both work out absolutely fine. So I don't think it is an issue being a CD.
I have read in some linux forum that you might need to do a checksum to ensure that the cd is properly downloaded. That's usually the cause for having errors in detecting this and that. 'cause you can get into the installation screen and that should mean the system detects the drive but not the installation program.
My guess and one of the many possibilities.
Good Luck

How would I go about doing a checksum?

Using md5sum command
e.g. md5sum SUSE-Linux-9.2-mini-installation.iso
and compare the string of characters with
ftp://gd.tuwien.ac.at/linux/suse/suse.com/i386/9.2/iso/README.txt
A proper download should have the same string.
After a search from google,
md5sum can be done in Windows via the following method.
http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/using_md5sums.html#lin
Hope it helps somehow.

Ok so I would put "7d70caf05f533bd4827fa3e485667146" The Sum number in front of the ISO File name? As I read it.?

Nope. Simply type in the following command line
md5sum SUSE-Linux-9.2-mini-installation.iso
it should reflect
7d70caf05f533bd4827fa3e485667146 SUSE-Linux-9.2-mini-installation.iso
and compare that with the readme.txt attached.
A proper download will show that both are the same.
