in need of embedded add mod for apache

Anyone know how I can have embedded ads for a free host.

i dont really want popups, just to have code inserted into a page so it shows banners...

so its like for sponsors... ive seen it so many times, but i cant find what i need to have it on my hosting company.

i have come across mod_perl but just cant for the life of me work it out....
