I visited kayako.com yesterday but since all it says is "Kayako will be back soon" I don't have any info on their products.

When the site comes back online I'll add eSupport in.

Popular here anyway.

Btw, you forgot a few like OneOrZero, Liberum Helpdesk, Open Helpdesk, Open Ticket, OSTicket, phpMyDesk, phpSupportTickets, phpMySupport, DQHelpdesk, and probably a couple of others. And if you're considering bug tracking software in this list, there are a couple of others of those also including phpbugtracker and ZenTrack.

elevation - are you planning on adding Kayako eSupport to this list? They've been up for a while now.

PerlDesk is great but unfortunately most people who have a customer/client management application are pretty much stuck with that for support. For example, we use ClientExec. Great client management but the support are is lacking a bit.

I'm a PerlDesk Fan here.. It does the job and it does it good. No need to buy some fancy mancy software that'll cost $119 bucks...

Hello,

I am a developer on Cerberus HelpDesk and would be more then happy to answer any questions regarding our software. We feel for the price, performance, and quality you can't beat it. I would also welcome any feedback you might have good, bad, or otherwise.

Thank you,

Kayako eSupport is by far the best help desk, the de facto of the support desk software sector :)

BUT.... in saying that i feel a need to also jot down that i have used PerlDesk a bit more and therefore voted for PerlDesk as it's more of a familliar setup for me now.

Hi Trent.

Hate to say it, but for a support and help desk company, your support is lacking. I tried to install Cerberus and posted on your forums, I also opened a trouble ticket. I got to a very late stage in the install. I get about one response a day out of your people and none of the answers are better than "reboot your machine" (it's a hosted machine, and that wouldnt fix it anyway) "Start over" and "we already answered your question on the forums, heres the link" (link to a completely unrelated post)

Unless someone fixes my install problem i think I will go elsewhere.

:banghead:

I have spent several days trying to get your software to install on Debian. Every 24 hours or so I would get a two word response from someone named "Happy Tommy" on your forums consisting of advice like "Reboot your machine" or "Start over" which essentially suggested to me that he hadnt read or understood my problem.

The final straw is when he posted a reply that suggested that my thorough documentation of my problem was "posting to myself on the boards" and that implied that I was asking to be "spoon fed" the install (after spending hours chasing what appears to be *your* bug), I felt insulted.

The problem was in your parser build version number. Seems like the way you parse incoming email is highly dependent on various versions of libcurl. I think if you took out this dependency, you might have an easier time supporting your customers. Also maybe if you hired support techs who were a) helpful and b) less rude

In any event, this is the feedback i have for Cerberus helpdesk. I've invested my two days in it and learned my lesson.

I am using www.J-LiveSupport.com . It is simple and allows to use Jabber IM as operator software.
