Hey guys & girls,

I'm going to start giving the ol' site a facelift or an "uplift". :D

Now be kind and gentle, what do you really dislike about the site? And what do you quite like?

I'm not going to make a major change, just want to touch up bits and pieces and any advice will be very much appreciated.

thanks! :)

site is http://net-trend.com in case you were wondering. :p:

The menu (that's in the upper left hand corner), I just noticed it now.

Use the same font on all the pages.

Yeah, that "menu"....that's the first thing that's going! :D

And i'll make the font adjustments...thanks...:)

The text is just sorta scattered about. It could use some further organization.

I like that it's crisp and clean. Every page is simple, thogh in a good way. Easy to read, easy to follow. That menu in the corner is probably the worst element (as was said), unless that's been changed. Here's my suggestion for the main page...

The index page has horizontal layers. Logo and navigation in the top layer (nice subway graphic by the way). Next layer is the red arrow and the text block, "Welcome to Net-Trend. We are a..." which is followed by the next layer of three squares of plans.

My suggestion is to mix it up a bit and have two columns. Left side column: Take the "Welcome to Net-Trend. We are a..." text and overlay that on top of the red arrow graphic (red arrow graphic stays where it is)and under that, have the 'news' section (maybe removing the image of the monitor and the tower in 3rd news column). Right side column: Have the three square plans boxes on the right side (column) going down the page (one on top of another).

Roberto,

Can you point out the pages where the text is not organized properly?

I always thought they were nicely put in sections, I gues I maybe seriously wrong on that one.

I just looked at the first page. The text in the center and towards the top right corner.

Thanks for the tip :chicken: :)

I guess the layout could really use some spicing up too.

I just edited my reply (since you've posted), and tried to explain it a bit better.

Hmm, that would mean having the text over the graphic? By doing that I think it makes the text less legible.

Guess i'll have to continue shifting things around....

Might have to lighten the graphic slightly. I'm not sure how iot would look, though a quick screen shot mockup in photoshop (or other editing program) that you just cut and paste and move things around would give you the basic idea, if you're at all interested in trying it that is.

I tired putting the text over it, didn't go too well...:(

Anyway, I did a quick and dirty job on the nav section.

I'm still not happy with them but maybe a step in the right direction, I hope.

For some reason, I like http://net-trend.com/v3/logo-test1.jpg better, but either would be an improvement, so maybe it's just personal preference.

I agree, I like logo-test1.jpg as well
