I put up an InvisionBoard Forum back in January. When I did a Google search for the words pertaining to the site it always came up #1 on Google.
After I converted it to a PostNuke site with a phpbb2 forum about a month later, it is not even showing up when I search for the URL on Google
I submitted the urL to Google numerous times and even sent them a couple of emails to try & find out what happened. I haven't heard from them.

Google is wierd. Sometimes it takes a year for a site to show up with them. Other times it has taken about 3 weeks for me.

I wouldn't worry about it too much - your site will come back. Google is going thru a major change in how it works at the moment & the index in use at the moment is fairly old with some fresh stuff mixed in.

Also - if you changed your IP during the change - it can take google a month or two to catch up.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. The only thing that bothers me is that my URL dosen't come up on any other searches either  Could I be banned from the internet for some reason. I honestly can't think of anything that I did wrong.

One of the main reasons they would ban you would be that you overused keywords and such and that your content had nothing to do with the title and description.

I may be wrong however.

I'm only using about 5 or 6 keywords in my Meta Tags...Would that be a reason to ban someone? I hope not.

Maybe I should of been more clear.

To many of the same keywords. =)

Google is in, what I would politely call, a "transistion period", at the moment. In May they it would appear that they decided to do some major changes to their algorithm. Now a side-effect of this is that they used their database from February(!!!) to provide the result pages (SERPS).

From what I can gather, after sifting through all the specualtion, they are going to do away with the monthly update (the Google Dance) and move onto continuous updates. Occasionally you'll notice a result has a date tag, this is the result of 'Freshbot' visiting the page rather than the deep crawl Googlebot. It would appear that Freshbot will be ruling the roost from now on.

At the moment many people in the search engine world are upset about the state of the Google index. So, web docta you're not alone in that respect. I would give it at least another month or so before I got worried. My advice to you in the meantime, would be to go out and get other people with decent pageranks ( > 4) to link to your site. That way you when you do return to Google you'll be in even better positions in the SERPS (that's the theory anyway). You can find out a site's pagerank by installing the Google toolbar.

For a far more in-depth discussions on the subject I recommend Webmasterworld (http://www.webmasterworld.com)

OK, I've got a site that ranks 5/10 on the "Google Meter", so I just linked the site to that one. Hopefully Google will find me again.

You won't get banned from Google because of your keywords or page content - so long as you don't have hidden text. Make sure you don't have any text white on white etc - beyond that just hang tight - it will all work out in the end.

There just isn't any "central command" on the Internet that will ban you all over the places, but you may want to check out Google's very useful's Webmaster Info (http://www.google.com/webmasters) (in particular Facts & Fiction (http://www.google.com/webmasters/facts.html)) if you haven't done so.
