Hi, my name is Brian and I goto what is called a magnet school, it is a school with only 350 students but we are on the campus of an actucal highschool, the name of the school is The Design and Technology Academy. I am going to be a Senior this year and for the first semester we have to do a huge project. For my project I would like to make a webserver. This webserver isn't going to be a huge server with hundreds of members but probaly only 1 to show the teacher that I did something. I have already setup Apache all thought I don't know if its actually working correctly but I have a few questions about setting up other things. I will list the questions below.
1) How do you make nameservers point to your server?
2) How do you setup an E-mail server? I would like webmail/pop3 mail accounts if possible.
3) What program do you use to make FTP accounts? I ave downloaded the trial version of Serv-U but I am not sure if thats really the program to use. I would like FTP to be availble using an FTP Program and through ftp://ftp.domain.com
4) How do you setup CPanel? I realize this forum isn't for Cpanel but I thought it would be better just to keep all the questions in one post.
Those are some of the main questions I have. I can probaly come up with a few more when I get deep into this project. Thanks to anyone who helps me. Also I am availble through Aim at c2kman or through e-mail at Webmaster@2k-studios.biz.
Thanks again
