View Full Version : Just need domain name, email forwarding
I'm tired of my ISP being acquired every couple of years and forcing me to change my email address (MediaOne-->AT&T-->Comcast-->?). I want to get my own permanent email address and just set it to forward to my local account. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive host for this purpose? I don't need web hosting, just domain registration and forwarding for one email address.

Goto a domain registrar yourself and register a domain - in their control panel look for email forwarding, you can setup an address@domain.com which will forward to another address. If you have to change ISP just change the address its forwarded to.
Doing it all yourself will save you money as a hosting company will always be making a small profit on domains.

Visit enom.com. They will provide email forwarding to you for just the price of a domain.
You do not need hosting.

email me at alex@openpacific.ca if your interested.
Thanks, all. I set up a personal domain & forwarding through a registrar and am all set.
