MODERATORS/OWNERS OF HOSTHIDEOUT
I recommend that you permanently ban upload19 (http://www.hosthideout.com/member.php?userid=5599), he sold me a fake vBulletin license. All this time he lead me to believe that he was the legal license holder. Now he says he is not responsible for the license.

To entice me to go for this deal, he also gave hosting for 1 year. I was naive enough to fall for this. I tried contacting him several times, but he wouldn't respond for a long time. Finally he responds and says the "real owner" was the one who filed for a chargeback, he wasn't the one who filed for it.

Now he says "you paid for hosting, not the vBulletin license" and that its past the 30 day limit on his website, so he won't refund the money. The cheapest hosting plan on his site is 37 for one year, he offered me this for purchasing the license for 59.05.

The deal that we had was that he would let me use the license until it was officially ready to be transferredon March 29, 2005. When I contacted Jelsoft, they said that this would be allowed.. letting me use the license until it was officially ready to be transferred.

I login a few days before 29th in the members area and I find that a chargeback has been filed. Jelsoft people said they can't do anything about it.

I have the PayPal history, which shows the transaction. Today I talked to him, and I uploaded a file with a screenshot which shows how much I paid him (59.05), and he said that I doctored it. I have the AIM transcript saved.

He insists:"you paid for hosting, not the vBulletin license" and that its past the 30 day limit, so no refunds.

We are not the law here, and without seeing the agreement and transaction, I cannot make a decision. Bottom line is that if you wanted a vB license, were told you would be getting one in exchange for something, and didn't get it, I'd attempt to resolve the issue directly (as you apparently have) and if that doesn't work, post your story loudly anywhere you can.
