Throughout the day I receive numerous phone calls asking me to come over and fix someones computer.. and most of the time I ask that they bring their machines to me.

Well not anymore!! With tightVNC, I can fix their PC from the comfort of my home while they want what I do. Granted, if they have dsl/cable, it would be better, but it works pretty good.

Today I have 3 different VNC windows running while I repair 3 different machines. Two of them are here in Miami, and 1 is in CA!!

I'm impressed!!

Hey Robert! I've been using TightVNC for a little while myself and I agree that it is a great program. I even connected to someone a couple of months ago who was using dial-up and it still worked pretty good. Of course it was slower and the screen would take awhile to refresh but it worked. I personally found the program from a past employer that was also using it. Very nice tool! :)

I use RealVNC which is basically the same thing on all my Linux and Windows PC's very good small free program, not to mention the remote app if just an .exe so if you are in the middle of NYC and need to get into your home PC from a net cafe you can usually just download it and dial in without any issues.

I did use Netmeeting and PCAnywhere for a while but both gave me issue so hats off to the guys at Real/TightVNC for making my life that much easier :)

I used it before we installed WinXP (dont worry, i still dual boot with Redhat :) )across the network. and I definately agree, the program is awesome. Hardly uses any resources but offer awesome functionality and power.

I also agree it is perhaps the best windows VNC client.
