I was just looking through the offers section of this forum board, and it seems like the same people are posting every 3-4 days. I think there should be some sort of restrcition put in place on how ofen you can post a new offer. I don't see anything wrong with using the forum as an avenue to generate business, but I think it is being abused the way it is currently.


am I the only one who thinks this?

I agree with a restriction however do not make it 7 days like WHT. Maybe 5 days.

even 7 days would be very reasonable for this forum as it doesn't see nearly the traffic that WHT does. just my two cents ...

At Hostingdiscussion we're using a 14 days limit. I must say that it does make the moderating harder.

Well, I hope that the people posting every few days see an order or two for their troubles. I'm not really overly decided on a limit (be it 7 days or 5), and can put one in place. It's useful in helping the sales of stickies (which we don't offer, but will as it's been requested by probably a hundred people).

I have no problem with it either way although it might be nice to see things without so many offers all the time. My suggestion would be to also limit how often people can purchase stickies. Nothing over-the-top but if you have a limit on how often people can post an offer, then they shouldn't be able to buy a new sticky every day. I don't think this was the plan but just in case... ;)
