Darn Hackers!! And Spammers!! Took a server down today using formmail. It was a peaceful Sunday until it happened, now i'll be up late trying to fix what they did. ARRRRGGGGGGHH

It was an older formmail script a client installed. Not the latest version. It irks me because people don't read, they just do, and then all hell breaks loose.

I just hate that feeling when you look in your email or your phone rings and suddenly your heart skips a beat because either

1. Your monitoring program has alerted you one (or all) of your servers is down.
2. You receive email from your uptream provider claiming a spam case and you'd better find the source or they'll black list the IP.

I'd liken this experience to the most scariest event for a human being. You know.....When the toilet gets clogged, suddenly the water rises. For a couple seconds you just stand there and stare in awe. :D Then (if you're on the ball) you shut the water off.....well.....unless your in a public washroom.
