Hello there.

I have two same problem in one day.

First - after install wrong lib (don't ask why) FreeBSD falled. I try asking - can support boot from bsd bootable CD and recovery it? Just deleted wrong lib. Support sad - "No Luck".
Ok, I pay for another HDD and old set Slave.
Well, after boot I try mount - but fail. The partitions stay in unclean. I run fsck and after mount it.
So, Support DC lie me? Or they dummy and don't know about fsck before mount???

Okay. After 3 hours my customer reboot server. Server is not load.
Support DC sad - grub problem.
Ok, they boot with knoppix and I setup lilo and standart kernel. This will work, but nothing!
Support sad - no luck, lilo error.
But when I ask - what same error - they sad me "Grub Study - 02 error".

I wery angry to support. But how to check lie support or not? :banghead:

Any ideas?

Well, why not just get a new HD and reformat it. I see you tried that but they should just give you another new HD if the other one has failed.
