Hello, WLHosting is getting a new order form. We would like to see what everybody thinks of it. We are currently working on easy ways to modify it so a non programmer can use it when it is available for sale. But anyways. We would like to hear your suggestions. Please fill out the form with your email in there and please post your comments in the comments or questions box. Thanks!

The site is located at:

Suggestion #1:

I agree to the Terms of Service:
(The Terms of Service is on the main website)

Make that a link.

Suggestion #2:

Less horizontal lines. There seems to be a line under everything, even if the next area is related. Example:

Why is there a line under: "Please select your plan." ? And then a section with "Plan:" and a jump box?

Make it easy, separate the sections with lines (if you like), condense text. In other words (lines optional)...

______________________________________________

Please select your plan: <jump box with plans>

1 - 128bit SSL secure page? This may be your test page so don't forget about that SSL part.

2 - Seperate the sections you have by using coloured boxes.

3- You did not implement form checks.
Ie. What if someone entered an invalid email address like (thismymail), the system still accepted it. Same goes with the Country and other stuff.

4- You did not implement a minimum char amount for the username and password.

Everything else seems to be nice and clean, so you are off to a great start! :)

I have implemented some new design features that make it so that it does not have as many divider lines, different top and bottom. It also has a username and pass min and max. Soon to have an email validation. Please check it out and tell me what you think. Thanks!

The second one is much better. Three comments:

1. The header looks pretty unprofessional. This is web hosting, people want their hosts to be "elite" "the best" and all techie looking.

2. Maybe its just me, but I cant stand when people leave the font the default Times New Roman. Personally I like verdana best, and most everyone has it. I usually do "Verdana, Arial, Times new Roman"

3. Dont put your TOS in a box, make an actual link to it like Chicken said. I believe it looks more professional.

Good improvements though :)

Thanks for all of the reviews. I think that I have implemented most all of the suggestions that people have given me and it is up now. Please tell me once again what you think.

Daniel, that is quite an improvement! 3000% better!

One addl. reason to use another font is that the tiny text is actually readable. If you look around, you'll see tiny text on this site (for example, under the posts in this thread, it says, "Go to first unread post"). Compare that with your text.

Also, one last suggestion. At the bottom where you have, "I agree to the Terms of Service:" and a checkbox, then a link under it, I'd streamline that and change to:

I have read and agree to the <Terms of Service> [checkbox]

-where "<Terms of Service>" above is a link to your TOS.

Really though, it is 3000% better as is, these are just some picky suggestions. Great job!

ok thanks for all of the suggestions. I am wanting to make my scripts as user friendly and nice looking as possible. I am always looking for new and impoved ways of doing things.

Still better, though I personally wouldn't use anything other than blue underlined links on that particular page, so that it is super obvious where the TOS lonk is, but small text is much more readable and clean looking.

Nice look indeed. You may want to change the color of the words "Terms of Service" just before the check box. It wasn't obvious that these words were a link (However, for the quick decision, some may simply check the box without verifying TOS)

===> duh! ===. in other words, I agree with :chicken:
Read first then post? ok :D
