Server Monitoring service

Hello everyone,

We are currently in the final stages of setting up a Nagios (www.nagios.org) based monitoring system.

With our service you can have any of the following services monitored on your servers:

dns
ftp
http
imap
ircd
ldap
ping
pop
smpt
ssh

These are not just simple "port checks". Each check program opens a connection the the service and checks for an appropirate return. If the check fails, it is retried (with a time delay) before a notice is issued.

We can also prerform more advanced monitoring (disk free space, load, swap utilization) if you are willing to run a small daemon on your server. The daemon only allows connections from our monitoring server and will only execute pre-defined check programs.

The price for the service will be $9.95 (USD) to have five services monitored. This can be 1 service on 5 boxes, 2 services on one box and 3 on another etc.

As a startup special, we'll be offering the service free through the end of May.
