Setting up 2Checkout
NOTE: 2Checkout is a NON-COMPLIANT gateway due to the inability to pass ‘variables’ to the gateway that can alter, add, discount or change existing packages that are created as recurring products. Due to this restriction, you will not be able to utilize ‘package addons’ or ‘coupons’ or ‘integrated domain registration’ since you will not be able to collect payment for those optons at the time of ordering.
Could anyone explain what this actually means. The part about domain registration concerns me. is it still worth using 2 checkout apart from paypal all other options seem to require larger investments.
thanks
As far as my knowledge extents, when using WHMAP & 2checkout you can not sell domains or any product addons :)

It's probably because of the way the old 2checkout system worked. Unlike paypal where you could generate sales links on the fly, 2checkout required a manual login into the system to request an id number for each sales link and therefore whmap couldn't generate dynamic links and 2checkout was deemed noncompliant.
This has supposedly changed with their new system, but it still may be worth having the 2checkout account even if you have to manually accept certain orders for those who don't use paypal.

This is good info to hear as I am thinking of using WHMAP for the new site I just started but of course going to look at MB as well.

WHMap is great but 2checkout is still not playing by the books! :(
I believe WHMap v3 will have lots of extra 3rd party merchant modules in the future.
At the moment we are using WHMap with 2checkout but as somebody else meantioned , you cant do domain name and add on sales with 2co .
We where thinking of using worldpay but are still hesitant as the initial setup cost is quiet high.

The selling of domains doesn't concern me with the WHMAP and 2CO, as I have a separate site with its own processing to sell domains, and I will just be selling the hosting. I think what I will do initially is use WHMAP with PayPal until I set up a merchant account again, which I will do as soon as the earnings warrant doing so. This way I eliminate a great deal of hassle altogether.

Yep, that is who I am using, they made the most sense, as they offered the most to resell and more oppurtunities to make money.

I am using planetdomain.com which offers even more domain names and only costs $45 for initial sign up
