Sounds like a beast and errrr.... blows what I use out of the water, though I'll say that I use it primarily to work the forum, email, etc., so I really don't need much.

Steve:

You didn't list the MoBo (Mother/Main Board) brand/model. That would be a nice thing to list.

Not sure what your budget is...
but why no got the 64 bit route and got with a board that (if yours doesn't) supports SATA raid and do a raid 1 or 0+1 so you can have faster R/W access to and from the drives.

Also is the Maxtors a 7200 RPM or 10,000 RRM...if the former look into WD SATA drives that have 10,000 ROM drives if you can afford it.

Theres no point in spending the money on the 64's nothing is out for them no games or nothing... just don't see the point in it.

Barton isn't worth it till theres apps out there for it, by then the price will drop too. Better to go for the P4 3Ghz HT chip if you want the best performance.

Not fond of ATI cards either, technically they are great, driver wise they still can't get it right, blew two monitors (one of which was a $1500 LCD...ouch) running an ATI, swapped in my old Geforce FX5900 and no monitor problems since.

Barton is just the core of it.... as for the ATi cards they are and make the best... also Pentiums aren't for gaming
