Since I don't know if it can be handled in a specific reseller account, VPS, or dedicated, so posting this here.

Hi,

Seeking a host who can put together a plan to meet specific needs (Web designer who wants to host public example websites and private web development content on one account).

Basic server requirements and price.

1. Must be US based host.
2. P4 2.4 CPU (or better).
3. 512mbs of RAM - with option to upgrade.
4. No less than 60gigs of quality bandwidth.
5. No less than 5gigs of webspace.
6. Latest PHP/Mysql/phpmyadmin upgrades
7. Price range can be around $50 (Reseller/VPS) and $90 (Dedicated) on up.
8. Payment by CC, monthly first.

Special Needs from host

1. Anonymous nameservers (true anonymous ones that won't show up in a reverse DNS).
2. 2 Dedicated IPs (Justification: public/private both need private FTP and SSL).
3. 1 shared IP (for testing web designs).
4. PHP: mod_write module
5. Turk MMCache installed

I don't really need root access, but need the server to be optimized for http caching (e.g. Turk MMCached installed).

Prefer HSphere or HSPC, but will consider cPanel 9x/WHM.

Please provide a test link or IP to ping to measure speed/lag to your servers.

Been with my current host for a year and a half, without complaint, but need the specifics above now.

Well allow me to give it a shot.

Basic Server Needs:

2. No Problem, servers are Xeons
3. No Problem, each server has 2G
4. Not a problem either, will create a plan specific to fit your needs. All our bandwidth is multi-homed with 6 tier one providers.
5. No problem again. Will create the plan for you.
6. I will have to check with my developers to see if there are going to be any issues. If not then we are good to go.

Read your TOS and no adult content is a plus too.

Let me know what your developers say. Turk MMCache is the fastest optimizer around (faster than Zend and it's free), and would greatly increase download speeds.

Zend is now actually faster than Turck, the lead developer for turck was hired by zend some time back and development on turck has ceased, I would recomend getting the zend accelerator :)

Zend is already installed on our servers. if you still want or need this account let me know after the hurricaine hits.

You probably ahve the zend optimizer installed which is totally different than the zend accelerator. Zend accelerator is a product you must pay for and acts similar to turck. The optimizer simply allows you to run zend encoded applications.

Do you think this is my first server? I have over 80 in our DC. On some we have ZA installed and on others we use PHP Accelerator from IonCube.
