We just got PhpLiveSupport for $159.99 (the Premium Package) and must say that it's great. A few bugs here and there, but overall, we are very impressed.

Let us know how you go with it after a few weeks.

We currently have a "community chatroom" type of live support (web based irc applet)... It works nicely but I get the feeling some customers would prefer a 1on1 type of live support so we may explore this avenue further.

I used chattist www.chattist.com

It's cheap, I get to own it, and I get to host it on my own servers. So all in all, it's good.

Yea, someone told me that you had that. I like how with PhpLiveSupport I can log on, minimize the window and if a call comes in, it makes a *ring ring* noise.

PHPLIVESupport is that the same as PHPLIVE? If so, that is the same program as we use and i am very pleased.

Do not pay the $69.95 for the WinAPP program. At that price, the thing is highway robbery. It's a silly little .NET utility that probably took, at the most, a day or two to code. I'd pay an extra $10 for it, but now that I've paid $69 I feel cheated.

Yeep.. we didn't.

We are still looking for a program though that can do that (only on select programs). So far the ones we foudn place ALL of our programs to the taskbar when we minimize them

I am asking them for a refund (as there was no way for me to demo the program before hand). Hopefully they will give me a refund because I have no qualms about doing a chargeback for the $69 portion of my order.

It's too bad I don't know .NET. I bet it's really not all that complicated to do what they have done - looks like they've just put a custom shell on IE and move the app to the system tray when it's minimized.

There is a free one that is available for PHPLive! I can't remember the URL for it but you may want to google it.

I actually think I read about it on WHT so you may want to look there as well.

I didn't like the one that is free and works for PHPLive! Because it requires you to install MySQL on your home system and link between your two MySQLS and naahhh

I bought Chattist lastnite normally about $350, but I paid $59 for a full lifetime licence.

It has a win app etc, Very nice software and totally hackable so Im going to do some funky integration with it.

Many customers would prefer 1on1 support through AIM or ICQ most of the time, or they would contact you through email, though i would totally recommend get1on1.com

Its really good, has many features, and its free!

AIM and ICQ and MSN :yuck:

Can't stand those programs - always a security risk when you stick those things on your computer, not to mention when you support your clients.

Clients may prefer it but the tech support hate it - they get no work done.

Oh BTW we use PHPLiveHelper

I installed it and its really nice, i deleted it though because i dont really need anything like edge panel yet.

Its kind of nice and free

Honestly I just wouldn't consider this, I have only had one customer ask for a chat using ICQ and that was before I installed phplivesupport.

1 on 1 support It is a great sales tool and also current customers love to have instant replies to questions. That's when you start to see the word of mouth referals mount up. :banana:

Soo..does anyone know any software that will keep the Operator window in my taskbar? The one that is free and works for PhpLiveSupprot requires extra programs (MySQL-Server).

Hello, this is what is happened to me (all documented) the 30 august with PHPLivesupport.com and Osi Codes Inc.

I was a customer of them since march 2004

I have paid ALWAYS their fee.

Last billing cycle was march 2005, year after the subscription of march 2004.

I have paid with a pre-paid credit card and I haven't take care that I hadn't received a message with the OK when I had paid the fee in march 2005, but I wan't worried because infact I continued to log up to august 2005 and I contact at least 10 times the customer care support and all was ok and I knew to have paid, full paid all.

The 30 august they put in my account a panel where I was forced to pay 79$ again! I cannot have access to download and other.

I asked info immediatelly to them and they said that I have no paid and to show a proof. Of course I cannot show because prepaid credit card of post office in Italy don't give this feature.

Now they have blocked all my business but I have proof that I have download, from my own account, and got support by them up to august 2005 and a serious firm know that this could be not possible if I was not a paying customer.

I think at 100% that they have abused in my case and now I do not know what to do.

I'm asking to my lawyer what to do and how to call them in a my country court.

If sombody of you know other forums where find other users of Phplivesupport that had some treatment let me know.

I wrote in their forum and they have HIDDEN in few hours my message where I explain what happened.

This is a scam and an abuse never seen from a serious firm and company as they should be, and now I need to go to buy a Live Person license (more expensive) just for what is happening.

Please report all the abuses of this firm to flyinvest@gmail.com

if someone else had this abuse in the past we can act together in a court for investigate and have our rights.

PHP Live is great :dchick: The WINAPP is to say the least its not impressive and certainly come again i wouldn't pay for it, Live support is good especially for sales rather than customer support.

If you do not have evidence you cannot file a court case against them don't you think? If you log into your account and click renew, The address which you used to purchase the account should be filled in there do you see that?

PhpLiveSupport works great. Highly recommend it.
Sure would love to see an app made specifically for Linux OS instead of Windoze.
