Okay,

I've been using a QuickBooks Merchant account for years, but they don't work for online transactions (i.e. Authorize.net compatible, etc.)

But now I'm finally about to change my hosting billing to a "more automated" (ClientExec, ModernBill, or something with recurring billing) system and I need a merchant account that will work. Wells Fargo seems to have a good package but I love some recommendations for some alternatives.

There are no issues with credit and volume will be minimum $5k monthly.

Thanks!

I'd suggest PayQuake (http://www.payquake.com). They have decent prices and it's a true merchant account using Authorize.net.

Check out www.clientbilling.com - they have an Authorize.net merchant account w/ no setup fees and a low discount rate for hosting companies.

You may also want to check out www.modernauthorize.net... they also have low fees.

If you have any customers that pay for more than a month at a time (quarterly, annually, etc), PayQuake is probably not your best bet (they now require a cover letter stating you will only accept monthly payments).

Did not know that... I just started with them about two months ago and they said nothing about that.. Nevertheless, thanks for the info. I'm going to see what I can find out.
