View Full Version : Forcing Full Duplex on Linux
Hey guys -- is there a way to force full duplex on a Linux server that does not have mii-tool? I have to do this without downloading any additional applications to the box.

If you have Red Hat Linux, check to see if you have ethtool.
If you do, you can manually configure the NIC that way.

If, however, you are plugged into a half-duplex connection a full-duplex force on your end won't really do much good.
