I'm probably almost ready to turn auto-subscribe off now. I only use it on forums I don't visit too often, but I'm seem to be coming here more regularly now.

Ditto, as sometimes I'll go back to a forum and there are 10 replies, people asking questions, etc., and I feel bad. Helpful sometimes, but if you are a 'regular' it isn't needed for the most part.

I don't think I've ever had notifications on, on any forum. Find them just too annoying. Get enough emails as it is. Generally though I remember to go back to a small forum one to help traffic and two to check for replies.
