Las Vegas

Just curious, did anyone from this board make it to that other boards Las Vegas get together? I was there but it was hard to get around to everyone. Met some nice people though.

I made the dinner on Sunday night. It was very nice. Met Robert Marsh and some of his group. Very nice and helpfull guy. Invited us to his suite on Monday morning. But the meeting was at 9:30. I didn't get back to my room untill 6:30, so didn't make it.


Partied with XTStrike and MattF all night. Matt started WHT and XTStrike has been there for a while I guess. They are both from Liverpool and their first time to the states. So they wanted to see Vegas. Thanks to Tony of National-Net, we saw Vegas in style. Cruised around all night in a Escalade Limo. Some stories there but that is PM stuff.

All in all it was worthwhile. Something we should try to do on a regular basis. Just getting together in an informal meeting and getting to know each other.

I am looking forward to something on a smaller scale with Chicken and whoever can make it to Southern California. No pressure Chicken, but I know a bar-b-que has been mentioned.:D :beer:

Yep, though aside from Dale, not sure who else would come??? If no one, then Dale and I shall finish the Margaritas by ourselves hmmph! :[ -which isn't a bad thing... :D

Hey Chicken,

I'm sure if we built it they would come. There are enough of us in S Calif to make it a quaint little get together. We may even get interactive to come over from AZ. I would be willing to hold something at my house although I am up in the mountains and it can be kind of hard to find sometimes. But we could figure out something.

Maybe this is something we can start putting feelers out to see what kind of interest there is. If nothing else we can tackle the Margaritas ourself. I'll bring my wife and we can talk about web hosting and teaching.

Ya I'd definantly be interested (not the type to go and party though) and maybe Lamont would also be interested (he lives in Gilbert not too far from me).

Actually Robert, I really am not that much of a partier either. It would be nice just to get together and meet everyone. It would be great if you and Lamont could make it.

And my wife would love it <insert sarcasm>. nothng she likes more than talking about hosting with hosting buddies, and as a husband to a teacher, I'm you've realized teachers like to talk about teaching, heh. I have those friends as well. She loves getting together with them and talking about teaching, heh!

Ohh well... maybe she can... bring a friend to play with. *eek*

I'd probably just drive out, it's only like a 6 hour drive to San Diego.

But I think some sort of a gathering would be awesome, and probably would boost the traffic on HHO.
