Ok HHO is at 9,010 posts as I post this. I'm betting it will hit 10,000 by May 10th.

hmm, I wish it was 10000 members and not posts, but we're getting there.. do you know about a hack that steals members? I would do sitepointforums and flashkit in that case :)
I think the quality of members is more important then the number of members really. :) Don't want this to turn into another @#$ kind of place. :P

We are tracking approximately 120 posts per day during the week and 200 posts per day on the weekend. As I write, there are 9100 posts on the board, which means we will hit 10,000 on May 7th, possibly late in the day on May 6th.

It's good to see the community growing so quickly, I didn't check here for a few days and click on view new posts, there were 6 pages!

I think you will notice a larger increase in activity with the Quick Reply doing subscriptions.
For example, I was only posting 4-6 times a day, and with it now, I'm posting 10-20.
I also agree, quality > quantity...
you cant pass confidential information over irc like you can with human click

Think I'd get banned from WHT for putting HostHideout in my sig?

I have it in my signature (as does Akash, a moderator at WHT), as do a few others and we're not banned. I think you're safe to signature anything :D
If you do... THANKS!!!

Done.
If they say anything I'll say Chicken made me do it! Just playing.
Seems like most people I like from there have stumbled upon this place already.
Just checked and it is at 9,469 now, lots of new posts since I was here last

This weekend, I had hoped to have some time to start on Part II, but yet again, the forces of evil might prevent that from happening. At work, they've recently completed a new building and this Saturday is the big "ribbon cutting" ceremony for the community (read: city big-wig picture op), and who knows how much of my day that is going to take up.

I bet you we'll hit it by sunday evening. I have HHO in my sig over at WHT and have had it since December. But I rarely post over there anymore, kind of sick of the place.

I hear you. I've been coming here a lot more lately. I've only been posting maybe 5 - 10 times a day to WHT compared to about 30-50 like the last 2 months ...
Looking forward to spending more time here.

Although there was a point where I felt I couldn't go a day without ('day' meaning visit several times a day), I don't relate anymore. Very strange for someone who spent years there, moderating on top of that, with over 10,000 posts. Hard to describe. Anywhoo... I had my reasons, but it makes me think I should have started HHO last Spring or Summer and not waited so long. Weird, but all for the best :D
chicken,
agreed man.
hey if you need help with anything give me a shout. im all ways online exp for work.

Well, not sure about that, heh, but I did track users at other forums and noticed that growth is exponential. At a certain point, it seemed to double, and double again, and double again, etc.
