Has anyone noticed that ram speeds have gone crazy. The latest I have seen is DDR 3500 or 433mhz ram.

Sadly, that mhz on that ram is quicker than the box I'm currently using at home. Haha.

When I got my new laptop (Celeron 1.6 with 512MB of DDR PC2100), I thought it would would feel much faster than my desktop (which is a PIII933 with 384MB SDRAM PC133), but it doesn't, oddly enough. I'm guessing the fastest P4 with this ram would be faster in many areas though.

It damn well better be faster, considering the price one has to swallow to get it.

Yeah, I noticed the price was a bit on the high side, though Fry's had some P4 + mobo combos for around $250, which seemed cheap. (???)
