Do any of you by any chance know of a quality place that provides ircd servers at an affordable price? I've been looking around a bit but everything seems incredibly unprofessional or incredibly expensive. I used to have one over at Falcon Networks which was great but they no longer provide them anymore and I missed the notice on that some how..

And I just noticed that this is probably in the wrong forum. My mistake, it's been a long day. :(

Reported this post, not to be a jerk just to let the mod's know to move it. I'm not sure if you want a dedicated or what, but take a look at FDC.

Somewhere between $10-$20 would be nice although I'll pay more if I have to.

my best experience with an IRCD server provider would be with www.southo.net - although theyre out of your budget. You will be better off waiting until you have enough money to purchase a server from a quality provider rather then lose your spare change now on a crap host.

I was an admin at a average 1-2k user irc network for 2 years.. and because of such.. i have tried alot of irc providors out and there are quite a few good ones out there.

http://www.lomag.net - very good.. tad expensive for some though.

also good:

http://www.risingnet.net/ - reliable.. decent support.
http://www.sharpnet.net/ - nice stable network.. never needed support.
http://www.dreamnet.cc - had around 3 servers from here.. very good support, the guy who runs it is very friendly and works with you when you get ddosed.

there are a few more which I can't remember off by heart... anyhow.. hope that helps ya. :)
