Hey all, my first post here. I have a question for those who do, or have previously used the ModernBill/2Checkout combination. I use MB, but also use 2 Checkout, meaning that I have to invoice every month rather than it being automated. I had been holding out hope that MB would integrate the recurring, but it seems to have been pushed back over and over.
I have been considering two options, 1) move the account sign up outside of MB so that the recurring charge link would be direct, then manually adding the client to MB. Once the functionality is in place, move back into MB and allow new clients to use that while allowing the current clients to continue as is, moving them in at a point of update (expiration of cc or plan change). 2) Dropping MB and going with a different solution.
I really like the functionality of MB and would prefer to remain there as everything is integrated. I verify all orders manually so I really have no need for automatic account creation. One thing I do not like about MB is that you have to already be a client to view the FAQ. To get around that I created a mini-FAQ directly on the site to answer common pre-sale questions.
I have tested PHPManager, but decided it didn't provide the level of features I wanted. I have looked into ClientExec as well as PerlBill but am undecided on those. I also looked at HSphere, but I prefer cPanel/WHM.
Ok, sorry about the book there, but I am curious as to how others have dealt with the MB/2CO recurring issue. Would any of the other programs available be beneficial in this regard? I am not worried about cost, as I fully believe you get what you pay for. I do not necessarily need an integrated FAQ & HelpDesk as I am fine with using PerlDesk.
What are your thoughts about this? Thanks.
Matt
